Can you tell me more about the actual base?
The base for The Buoy™ Satellite System is a portable mount for a satellite dish antenna.
The mount is comprised of a hollow base designed to be filled with liquid (water) or sand ballast. The top surface of the base contains an indentation for receiving an antenna support mounting bracket and a second, connected indentation for receiving an antenna support when not in use.
When in use the base is filled with ballast material (water, sand, or wind shield washer solvent), the antenna support is rotated to a generally vertical position, and a satellite dish is attached.
When in transport, the ballast is emptied, the satellite dish is removed, and the support is rotated into its indentation in the base. The base, when empty, weighs 5 lbs.
The dimensions for the base are 5 in. x 20 in. x 21 in.
The base is generally rectangular, with a handle formed therein.
